Description:
The Dog’s Tale
This is the story of nine unwanted dogs

Impounded at the local refuge, these animals share their tales about how they came to be there. Newcomer Red, a cattle dog who is afraid of cows, hears all about it. Socks, dug one (or was it two?) holes too many; Molly went for a walk alone in the park; Peppa’s tail was pulled and only meant to nip the hand of the child that did it; Jude doesn’t like to talk about it; and Titan couldn’t find a home after his owner died.

All of them look forward to being rescued, either by their owner or by a new family. Will Measles’ spots put off potential owners? Is Spock too dumb, Meg too pushy??

They know that when a dog is taken on “The Long Walk” the next day they will be taken through that door, from which dogs rarely return.

There may be a chance to escape ... but will the feral cats get them?

Funny and moving the play will open your eyes to what may be going through a dog’s mind.
Written by WA Playwright Johnny Grim (Tainted Love) the play is directed by Tony Moore and features (in no particular order), Kyla Booth, Brian Godfrey, Shannon Gray, Maxine Grubel, Maxine Harding, Jabez Retallick, Kristin Telfer, Joanna Webb and Damien White.

Moore Books SA and Holden Street Theatres are working with both Paws & Claws Adoptions Incorporated and SA Dog Rescue to help raise money for their adoption programs.
